Adolf Kokoschke was born in Radischken, Lithuania, on December 19, 1940. He passed away suddenly on April 29, 2014 at Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops, BC. Adolf was 73 years of age. A resident of Clearwater for nearly three decades, Adolf is survived by his daughters, Marika Kokoshke of Taber, AB, and Karina Kokoshke (Jon Kozuska) of Kamloops, BC; brother Gustav (Grace) Kokoschke of Winnipeg, MB; mother Adele Kokoschke of Winnipeg MB; and grandsons Curtis Heagy, Gunnar Abbott and Hunter Abbott of Kamloops, BC. Adolf was predeceased by his father, Edmund Kokoschke of Winnipeg, MB and by his wife Katharina Kokoshke of Clearwater, BC.
Adolf studied at UBC and received his Forestry degree. He worked for 45 years as a registered professional forester. Adolf enjoyed singing, dancing and yodeling to his beer drinking songs, and he enjoyed his time in the Schlarraffen. Adolf was at home in the forest as he had a great love for nature. He enjoyed hiking, blueberry picking and reading. His thirst for knowledge led him down many paths, and at the end of the path was usually an Oktoberfest with a cold stein and a bad joke! He enjoyed going to Germany and spending time with family. Adolf helped to raise two beautiful daughters and he built a home in Terrace with his own two hands. Adolf will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
