Linda Rose King 1947-2021

In Memorial
Linda King 3

Linda Rose King
April 20, 1947 – November 4, 2021

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Linda Rose King of Vavenby B.C. She will be forever remembered by her husband and best friend, Danny King, with whom she celebrated 56 years of marriage on Oct 30, 2021 and her fur baby Pepper. Also left to cherish her memories are her children, Wade (Joy), Tammy (Gord), grand children Chad (Shelyse), Jade (Austin) and Sara (Carter), along with her grand pups Doug, Cooper, Moose and Bonnie.

Linda was born in BC at the Vancouver General Hospital just one day before Danny in the same hospital. This would be why she affectionately became known as the cradle robber. This would start the story of the “Kings’ who eventually married in 1965. They moved to Vavenby where they raised Wade and Tammy. Linda adored family, friends, animals, and collecting anything that made her smile. Her dolls, wind chimes, bird feeders, penguins, and much more, will be cherished for the years to come.

Her life long friends, Jack & Carol, Ted & Doris, Jim & Judy, Dave & Joanne, and Cathy (Larry is in heaven waiting for Linda with a margarita in hand) with whom she had many adventures in life with: will miss her dearly.

Linda worked many years with the school district, her favourite spot being the library. She enjoyed each child she met and still remembered the love they gave her. She will always be remembered on the curling ice for her skipping skills and love of the game, she loved teaching junior curling and took the kids on many bonspiels. After her adventures, her retired years led her to Yuma in the winters.
The winters in Vavenby were spent celebrating Christmas, her favourite holiday that brought her family together. Each summer was spent at Adams lake, a family tradition that will be passed on for generations.

A special thank you to Jack and Carol Schaffer and the First Responders who tried so hard to save Linda. She was taken too soon and will be forever loved and missed by all those who had the joy of knowing her.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date
