July 17th 1941- February 18th 2023
We regret to announce that the glue of our family, Lorraine, has passed away.
She is survived by her dearest sister Viola (Robert) Ellithorpe. Her three children Ken (Cheryl) and Carrie of Kamloops and Bob (Carla) of Nassau Bahamas. She loved unconditionally all of her six grandchildren and her special great-grandchild Raina. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Tomaso and Zelinda. She missed greatly her husband Andy whom for 57 years they were side by side, in, well, everything.
Lorraine spent many years as secretary/treasurer for the Pritchard Community Association as well as the Ladies Auxiliary. Very often mom would be on the phone arranging dances, potlucks, teas, and the annual Funfair. She was an active member of the Chase Legion. We could count on her in fundraising, driving, watching, and chaperoning in all school activities.
Dad had a huge garden and mom spent countless hours canning, freezing, and making jams. She always had canned tomatoes and frozen tomato sauce. We never grew tired of her fantastic lasagna. Her grated pumpkin made a scrumptious torte and her zucchini relish was so delicious we put it on everything. Her apricot jam never failed and her plum liquor did not last long.
Camping and fishing were also yearly events. Mom would be so proud when we arrived at the Niskonlith campsite with everything in the trailer upright, unspilled, unbroken, and everything in the cupboards. It is a very rough road. She also had extreme joy when her caught fish was bigger than dad’s.
Our family had a love of sports, whether playing or watching. However, when mom became an avid tennis fan, watching from 2 am to 8 am she received a lot of teasing. Tennis is not a sport!! Yet dad would make up the draw, record the results and ask if there were any upsets before she went to get some sleep.
Lorraine loved the Lord our God. She gave 100% of her love to all without judgment. She had a sympathetic and emphatic ear and a great many people sat at her kitchen table. She always cooked enough to set another plate for any family or friends that came by. Lorraine was gregarious with a positive and encouraging effect on people. She would offer hellos, smiles, and hugs at the many functions mom and dad attended. Lorraine was the strongest person we were blessed to know.
To celebrate her life we plan to invite family & close friends for a picnic at Neskonlith lake in the summer of 2023.
Thank you to all the 1st responders, Emergency, ICU, PAR staff, nurses, doctors, and gastrologists from Royal Inland Hospital.
Offer Condolence for the family of Lorraine Mary Anne Davidowski (Lazzarotto) 1941 – 2023

Lorraine was a lovely lady – always kind, positive, and delightful to be around. We enjoyed many afternoon swims with her at the Y, and a cold beer after… always lots of giggles – she had a great sense of humour. What a great loss this is to the many people who knew and loved her. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.
