After a short battle with cancer, we share the passing of Mom – Marilyn Ann Tutt (Thomas).
Mom was born in Tisdale Sask. on Sept 12, 1947 and passed away on Sept. 17, 2023 at the young age of 76. She is survived by her daughters, Christine (Troy Sanger) and Kerri (Jamie Bond). Her grandkids, whom she unconditionally loved so very much: Shanaya (Nic Schrik) of Kelowna, Sierra Sanger of Kelowna, Ty Bond of Prince George and Kendra (Austin Duncan) of Fort St. John, her two sisters: June Goodwin of Dawson Creek and Ellen (Jack Lucke) of Grand Forks and her favorite Auntie Doris, whom she admired/loved so very much. Pre-deceased by her parents Bill and Hazel Thomas and brother-in-law Vern Goodwin.
Mom moved to Kelowna at the age of 13 but eventually called Kamloops home in 1990 where she worked for Kipp-Mallery Home Health Care until she retired at the age of 65. Once the grandkids came, she would travel back and forth to Kelowna and spend as much time as she could with her grand babies. One of her favorite places was taking the grandkids to the Wildlife Park in Kamloops and having many picnics. Other adventures Nanna/Grandma took all 4 out camping to Tween Lakes and Ty and Kendra to the Adams Sockeye run. But as the grandkids got older Mom was able to do what she “liked to do”. She loved creating amazing stain glass artwork at High Country Stain Glass and at home – lamps, concrete stepping stones and beautiful wall hangers. Moms’ other passions was gardening – grew anything and was always absolutely gorgeous, tedious cross stitch and working in her kitchen – fabulous cook. Fall was her time of year – even though she was on her own, still would always be busy preserving what she could and then pass it along.
Mom’s last few weeks were spent at Majorie Willoughby Hospice, Kamloops. What an amazing place and staff. Christine and I are very grateful for the outstanding kindness and care for Mom, also glad some of you got to see her witty/cheeky side. Dr. Siglet, thank you for your compassion and kind heart. Bless all you all.
Will be watching for you…….
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Margorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice, Kamloops, BC.
