(September 6 ,1926-April 13, 2021)
We wish to let family and dear friends know of the gentle passing our mom In Kamloops, B.C. She will be lovingly remembered by her 3 children, Judy Rogers (Grant Close) , Debbie Topolnisky (Ewen ) , and Barry Graham (Adrienne) , two stepsons , Murray White (Joan) and Allen White (Donna ) as well as grandchildren , great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews .
She is also survived by 2 siblings, June Blennerhassett and George Nelson.
Mom was predeceased by 2 loving husbands, David White (2015) and her first husband, Bill Graham (1978) and 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Born in Silverton, B.C. She was the oldest daughter of Warren and Peggy Nelson and grew up with 6 brothers and sisters. She went to Normal school in Victoria and returned to teach in a one room schoolhouse in Perry Siding. She met our dad, Bill Graham, after the war, married and moved to Kimberley where her 3 children were born and raised.
She led a full life in Kimberley raising her 3 children, gardening, playing bridge, skiing, camping at Wasa, and supporting all their adventures.
She will be remembered for her love of her grandchildren and nieces and nephews, sewing their clothes (particularly matching Christmas pyjamas and nighties and Christmas stockings), her delicious cooking (especially her cinnamon buns.) Family celebrations were always the best. She enthusiastically participated in all the kids lives attending events and activities.
After dad’s death, mom met Dave playing tennis and married in 1982. They moved to Marysville, enjoyed an active life, and spent many winters in Yuma. After their move to Penticton in 1991, they continued to enjoy friends and family and were active in the activities of RedWing golfing, entertaining, and growing a beautiful garden.
When Dave passed, mom moved to Kamloops to be near Debbie and family and lived at Ridgepoint where she continued to make close friends using her prowess to win many crib tournaments. As her health deteriorated and she required a different level of care, she moved to Ridgeview a full care facility where she lived her remaining days.
Her life was blessed with two husbands who adored her and a family who remains blessed by her love of family. We will live with powerful memories and we are honoured to be her legacy.
