Moraya Harrison
February 22, 1997 – June 13, 2018
Moraya Sunshine Harrison was taken from this world on June 13th, 2018. The tragedy of this unfortunate accident is perhaps overshadowed by the fact that she was doing what she loved, exploring picturesque British Columbia, with friends, at the time of her passing.
Moraya was a social butterfly and cared deeply about her friends and her family. She was passionate, charismatic, outgoing and strong. She met every one of life’s challenges with an open mind and possessed the ability to rise above and focus on bettering herself in a positive way.
Her tattoo read, “keep me where the light is” and though her worldly light was extinguished too soon, the transcendent presence that was Moraya will continue to live on in our hearts and minds and we find peace knowing she is now in a place of eternal light.
Moraya leaves behind her father Kelvin, her mother Joan, her siblings Sierra, Ashley and Myles, her grandparents Bill and Lorraine, her niece Adalie, her nephew Arlo, extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank the Clearwater RCMP, Yellowhead Helicopters and Search and Rescue from Wells Gray, 100 Mile House and Kamloops. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made in Moraya’s name to the Wells Gray Search and Rescue. info@wellsgraysar.ca Condolences to the family may be sent to DrakeCremation.com
A gathering to celebrate Moraya’s life will take place at the Calvary Community Church, 1205 Rogers Way, Kamloops, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018. All are welcome.

Kelvin and family. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. When Moraya and Kolby were young and we played a game where I tried to catch them, I could catch Kolby but I never ever caught Moraya. She could run faster than anyone. She was a beautiful girl with a smile that was second to none. My heart goes out to you and your family.

You dont know me but I knew your daughters Sierra and Moraya. I was shocked to find out Moraya had passed away in June..and today she is in my thoughts and in my heart…I cant even imagine the pain of losing your daughter, sibling, etc..I have lost friends before but this one seems to go the deepest for me. I know how bright and adventurous moraya is. It is eternally fitting that her middle name is Sunshine. I believe she is shining down on you all right now. <3 my deepest condolences go to you and your loved ones.
