July 7, 1921 – April 23, 2019
Mom passed away peacefully after a short illness. 97 years young, she loved to spend time with her friends and family, especially her great grandchildren. She was fond of gardening and baking which all of us enjoyed, especially her wonderful cookies and pies.
The many retirement years that she and Harold enjoyed together were spent travelling far and wide. They vacationed twice to Scotland and spent many weeks in their RV going to music festivals all over western Canada. Mom loved to be on the road seeing new sights. She also enjoyed fishing, berry picking, gold panning and hiking. She had a keen mind even in her last days and liked to tell everyone the jokes she heard. Myrtle was an active member of the Jehovah’s witnesses and had many good friends there.
Myrtle is survived by children Rae (Randy), Warren (Donna) and Anita (Gary), six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband Harold and grandson Kurtis.
There will be a celebration of life at the Kingdom Hall (Barriere) on May 4, 2019 at 1p.m. No flowers by request. Condolences may be sent to the family at DrakeCremation.comPrint This Obituary & Condolences
