It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Shawn Pearce on August 5, 2023, at the age of 79 years old. Shawn passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.
Shawn will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Lisa (Dion) Rhodes; grandchildren Brittany (Dylon) Hiebert, Taylor Rhodes (Audrey Roberts), Colby Rhodes (Savannah Williams), great-grandchildren Kinnley Rhodes, Sophia Hiebert; sister Layle (Ed) Dykstra; brother-in-law Don Pearce; sister-in-law Doreen (John) Elliot, Barb (Mike) Kilba as well as numerous friends. She will be dearly missed by her friends at Evergreen Acres.
Shawn was predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years John Edward Pearce, her parents, Gloria and Lawrence Prokopek and sister Penny Wardman.
Shawn was born in New Westminster, BC. Married John June 24, 1967, and a few years later their daughter was born. Her grandchildren were her world. Any school or sporting event she was there to cheer them on no matter what or where she had to travel. Her great granddaughters Kinnely and Sophia were equally as important, as she enjoyed the phone calls, video chats and spending time together.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital, all the wonderful ladies from home care, Dr. Perdue, staff at the Clearwater Medical Center, Sharon Harkies, Helen Smith, and the Kidney Clinic in Kamloops for all their wonderful care and compassion.
The family would like to invite you to a Celebration of Life for Shawn on September 9, 2023, from 1:00 pm till 4:00 pm at Evergreen Acres Hall in Clearwater, BC.
